In the summer of 1996, Rebecca, Jennifer, Amy and David Christenson began to invite The Aquarians to into their creative circle.
At that time they knew nothing of pending earth and planetary changes or the Age of Aquarius. The "Aqua" character prefix originated from a united desire for more water. Alberta was too dry for these mer-folk.
One afternoon, walking a dusty country-mile, they circled the local Ancestral burial grounds. The result? An epic tail of unconditional love began to download...one character, dream and life at a time.
Visionary, Fine Artist, DesignerJennifer’s passion for art solidified when she was eight.
After the first art course, Jen was inspired to capture the Canadian Rockies and horses, which morphed quickly into unicorns.
Jen's path is a continual exploration of form and medium; paint, pencil, bronze sculpture, hand-built ceramics and collage. She received an art Diploma from Red Deer College.
She then took a time-out for travel, construction work, and dancing...Finally, she answered a call to Eastern Canada. Pubs, beer, tall ships and The Lower Deck are fond memories indeed!
Jen completed her B.F.A. at NSCAD (Nova Scotia College of Art and Design) by 2002. Not ready to leave Halifax, she worked for a few years, whilst painting on the side.
In 2005, she completed a graduate diploma in costume studies at Dalhousie University. By adding textiles and corset creation to her designer's tool-box, Jen is a one woman Art Department. Jennifer infuses her art with light and global mythologies.
Future plans include further studies in; model making, special effects make-up, prosthetic design, wig and hair design.

While co-creating backyard productions, Rebecca's storytelling passion took root. She received her first camera and journal in elementary school.
She thanks Grandma's National Geographic Collection for early inspiration beyond rural Alberta. Later, when "mermaid film-maker" was not a career option, she floundered.
Rebecca's unfocused time was filled with travel, construction work and dancing with Jen. She flirted with set design and drafting, but eventually decided to pursue screenwriting (story blueprint making), to accompany camera interests.
Rebecca's fins finally caught a wave to SAIT Polytechnic (Calgary), majoring as a writer/producer. After which, she continued with bachelor studies in Professional Communications.
Rebecca is dedicated to showcasing "ordinary" miracles (if there is such a thing) and -- products from the human heart. She wears many hats at AQ.
Future plans include more focus on screenwriting, and storytelling -- These dreams include working with; stellar performers, genius designers, inspiring digital DP's and amazing post-production artists!
